Matcha Brownies

Sugar, Matcha, and everything nice!  You can’t go wrong with this combination of Matcha and White Chocolate!

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all purpose flour

  • 1 cup granulated white sugar

  • 2 tablespoons Chado x Sinensis Ceremonial Matcha

  • 1 cup salted butter (melted) and slightly cooled

  • 2 large eggs

  • 2 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 cup white chocolate chips

  • Powdered sugar, garnish

Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350*F and line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and Chado x Sinensis Ceremonial Matcha.  Using a sifter or a whisk to add air, mix until fully incorporated and the matcha is evenly distributed.

  3. Add in the melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract.  Beat the mixture with a hand mixer until fully incorporated.

  4. Add in the white chocolate chips and mix in using a spatula.

  5. Using the spatula, transfer the brownie batter into the parchment paper lined baking pan.  Once transferred, smooth the top of the matcha brownie batter so that it is level.

  6. Bake for about 30 to 40 minutes or until fully cooked.  Remove from the oven and allow to fully cool in the baking pan.

  7. Remove from the pan once cool and slice the brownies.

  8. Gently top with powdered sugar for garnish.

  9. Serve and enjoy!

Interested in our Chado x Sinensis Ceremonial Matcha?

Our ceremonial matcha comes from the Japanese prefecture of Mie. Historically, Mie has only supplied tea to Japan and Europe. Only recently have they expanded to the US. Together with our cousins from Tijuana, Sinensis Tea Bar, we are introducing a delicious matcha from this beautiful region
