History with Chado Tea: Bridgerton and the Origins of Afternoon Tea

History with Chado Tea: Bridgerton and the Origins of Afternoon Tea

Bridgerton and Afternoon Tea go hand in hand.  Our friends at TeaVendor, Bianca and Siobhán are ready to steep a pot of tea and dive into the history of this favorite pastime shown throughout the Bridgerton series. The history of Afternoon tea begins with a humble origin story that went on to flourish in the great manor houses of the British aristocracy.  Too many times to count can one be seen discussing the latest gossip about the "Ton" over a cup of tea in the Bridgerton series.  In season two we even see a scene where Miss. Kate Sharma is preparing her own cup of Chai because she believes the English tea to be inferior to the rich, flavor packed tea she grew up with.
