In the Kitchen with Chado: Earl Grey Tea Infused Overnight Oats

In the morning we all love to indulge in our favorite cup of tea to kick start our day.  But did you know that you can not only drink it but also incorporate it into your breakfast foods?  Overnight oats have been a hit for quite some time now with how simple and tasty they are for a healthy breakfast, today we have a spin on overnight oats with tea.  Using our Organic Breakfast Earl Grey, this recipe is reminiscent of a light and delicious Earl Grey latte.

Earl Grey Tea Infused Overnight Oats

  • 2 cups uncooked old fashioned rolled oats

  • ½ cup milk of your choosing

  • 1 cup steeped Organic Breakfast Earl Grey

  • 1 tablespoon honey

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract(measure with your heart)

  1. In a medium bowl, add in your steeped Organic Breakfast Earl Grey and honey. Stir until the honey melts from the hot tea.

  2. Gently add in the oats, milk, and vanilla extract.  Gently stir until combined.

  3. In two half pint mason jars, carefully add in the oat mixture and seal tightly with the lids.  Allow the finished mixture to chill in the fridge for at least 6 hours or overnight.

  4. Once ready to serve, open the jars and gently stir.  If you prefer a thinner consistency you can add more milk to this jar.  If you also want to add more flavor you can add honey to the top.

  5. You can top the overnight oats with any other topping of your choice and enjoy!
