Behind the Bar with Chado - Gingerbread Nightcap Cocktail

There’s something magical about Christmas evenings with the glow of tinkling lights, the smell of cookies baking, and the irresistible craving for something warm, comforting, and just a tiny bit indulgent. This year, we’re leaning into the Christmas spirit with a cocktail that tastes like dessert in a cup: The Gingerbread Nightcap. 

Inspired by the nostalgic flavors of the classic holiday cookie, this tea-based cocktail blends together rich spices, smooth rum, and the star of the season: Chado’s signature Christmas tea, Gingerbread Cookie. It’s the perfect sip for winding down after a day of festive bustle or raising a glass with friends as you toast to the spirit of Christmas.

Gingerbread Nightcap


Ingredients:

  • 2 ounces strongly brewed Gingerbread Cookie Tea

  • 1 ½ ounces spiced rum

  • 1 ounce Trader Joe’s Non-Dairy Oat Gingerbread Creamer

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla bean syrup

  • Cinnamon stick, garnish


Directions: 

  1. Strongly brew Chado’s Gingerbread Cookie tea and allow it to cool.

  2. In a tall glass with ice, combine the tea, rum, oat gingerbread creamer, and vanilla bean syrup. Stir until well mixed and smooth.

  3. Strain the cocktail into a festive glass filled with ice. Garnish with a cinnamon stick and enjoy! 

  4. Additional note, this drink can also be enjoyed hot!
