Thanksgiving Delights: Autumn Tea Lattes

After a day of enjoying a turkey and all the trimmings you might not have room for dessert, but a hot drink is the perfect ending to the evening.  Today we are going to share with you a couple of fun and festive tea lattes that you can enjoy after a day of indulgence.  Whether enjoyed on their own or with a slice of pumpkin pie, these lattes are a real treat.

 

Cinnamon Apple Tea Latte

 

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of the milk of your choice

  • 1 Chado Breakfast Pyramid Tea Bag

  • 1 apple, cored and chopped

  • 1 tablespoon of honey or your sweetener of choice

  • Ground cinnamon

Directions:

  • Heat the milk, Chado Breakfast PTB, chopped apple and honey in a medium saucepan over low heat until the tea has steeped.  This should take about 6 minutes. 

  • When the milk reaches your desired temperature, run the tea through a sieve and into your mug. 

  • Sprinkle the top with cinnamon and enjoy!

Honey Chamomile Tea Latte

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cups of water

  • 4 tablespoons Chamomile tea

  • 1 ½ cups of the cold milk of your choice

  • 1 tablespoon honey

  • Ground cinnamon

Directions:

  • In a small saucepan, bring the water to a boil and remove from heat to add in the Chamomile tea.  Cover and let steep for 10 minutes. 

  • While waiting for the tea to steep, in another small saucepan heat the milk over medium heat.  Whisk constantly until warm and frothy, about 5 minutes. 

  • Strain out the loose tea and add in the honey and stir until dissolved. 

  • Gather two mugs and evenly distribute the tea.  Next add in the frothed milk, setting aside a bit of the foam with a spoon if possible.  Stir together gently to combine. 

  • Top off the two mugs with the reserved foam, sprinkle with ground cinnamon.

  • Serve and enjoy!

Maple Cinnamon Tea Latte

 

Ingredients:

  • 8 ounces of water

  • 1 Chado Darjeeling Pyramid Tea Bag

  • 1 to 2 tablespoons maple syrup

  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract

  • Pinch of cinnamon plus more for garnish

  • ¾ cup of the milk of your choice, steamed

Directions:

  • Pour the maple syrup, vanilla extract, and cinnamon in the bottom of a wide mug.  Pour in the tea and stir to combine. 

  • While holding the mug slightly to the side at a 45 degree angle, slowly pour the steamed milk in the center to fill the mug and add a thin layer of the foam to the top.

  • Garnish with the cinnamon and enjoy!
