Self-Care with Chado: Chai Milk Baths
Wellness January is moving along at a fast pace, the month is almost over and everyone is still hard at work reaching their 2023 goals. While we applaud the continued drive and determination, we think everyone should take a minute to sit back and relax. Today’s installment of Self-Care with Chado focuses on pampering yourself with indulgent Chai Milk Baths. Easy to make at home and even easier to enjoy!
Reena’s Chai Latte Milk Bath
This milk bath will leave you feeling cozy and enchanted by the signature scent of the warm chai spices.
Ingredients:

¼ cup epsom salt
-
2 ⅛ cup powdered milk
-
¼ cup cornstarch
-
3 drops cardamom essential oil
-
2 drops ginger essential oil
-
2 drops cinnamon essential oil
-
3 drops clove essential oil
-
¼ cup pink Himalayan salt, coarse
-
2 tablespoons Reena’s Chai
-
1 airtight jar
Directions:

Combine the epsom salt, powdered milk, and cornstarch into a medium mixing bowl.

Use a fork to break up any clumps found in the powdered milk.

Pour the milk mixture into the jar.

Add the pink Himalayan salt into the mixing bowl. Add in the cardamom, ginger, cinnamon, and clove essential oils and mix together to combine the oils thoroughly.

Add in the infused salts over the milk mixture in the jar.

Lastly, sprinkle in Reena’s chai on top of the infused salts.

Place the lid on top and make sure it is sealed tight, make sure to use this batch within six months.
Rose Chai Milk Bath
With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, this milk bath makes for the perfect gift for your Galentine bestie or your loved one.
Ingredients:

2 ⅛ cup powdered milk
-
2 tablespoons Himalayan Pink Salt
-
2 tablespoons Hawaiian Red Salt
-
¼ cup beet root powder
-
5 drops Rose Geranium essential oil
-
2 to 3 drops Rose essential oil
-
2 tablespoons Rose Chai
-
1 airtight jar
Directions:

In a bowl combine the powdered milk and beet root powder. Using a fork or a shift, break up any clumps found in the mixture.

Pour the mixture into the jar.

Add in the Himalayan salt and Hawaiian Salt to the bowl. Add in the rose geranium and rose essential oils and mix together to combine the oils thoroughly.

Add in the infused salts over the milk mixture in the jar.

Sprinkle the Rose Chai on top of the infused salts.

Place the lid on top and make sure it is sealed tight, make sure to use this batch within six months.

If you would like, you can also make this particular milk bath recipe by placing everything in the bowl at once if you do not want the layered look.
