Drinks with Chado: Coconut Vanilla Rum-tea-ni
The sun is shining, there’s a summer breeze, the air smells of sunblock, and you’re sitting poolside looking for the perfect summer tea cocktail. We have just the one! The team here at Chado loves summer and we love a summer time cocktail, especially a tropical one with tea. Using our Coconut Vanilla Black Tea, this drink is aptly named the Coconut Vanilla Rum-tea-ni. Using two types of rum, this cocktail is sure to leave you feeling a little buzzed but relaxed as you enjoy the summer time heat.
Coconut Vanilla Rum-tea-ni
Ingredients:

2 ounces pre-sweetened Coconut Vanilla Black Tea

½ ounce Coconut Milk
-
1 ounce White Rum
-
1 ounce Coconut Rum
-
Star Anise, garnish
Directions:

Steep the Coconut Vanilla Black Tea and while still hot add in the sweetener of your choice. Allow to steep for 5 minutes, this is longer than normal for a black tea but we want to have a bit of a stronger steep.

Allow to cool for 10 to 15 minutes after removing the tea, you can also refrigerate the tea for this time as well.

In a cocktail shaker with ice, add in the tea, coconut milk, and both rums.

Shake vigorously.

In a martini glass, strain the cocktail into the glass and garnish with a star anise on top.
