Chado Tea Health & Wellness: Herbal Tea Lattes

Two weeks into 2023 and we know that everyone is still inspired and ready to put their health first this year!  Today we have a few fun and caffeine free herbal tea latte recipes to share.  Whether you make a latte to kick start your day or to cap off a busy work week in the evening, we have something for everyone’s palette.

Rooibos Cinnamon Tea Latte 

Ingredients:

  • 8 ounce cup of brewed Rooibos Bourbon

  • 2 tablespoons Maple Syrup

  • 2 tablespoons Refined Coconut Oil

  • ½ teaspoon Cinnamon, plus extra for a topping

  • Dash of Vanilla Extract

Directions: 

  1. In a blender combine together the cinnamon, coconut oil, maple syrup and dash of vanilla extract.

  2. Steep 1 teaspoon of Rooibos Bourbon.  Once the tea is ready, carefully add the tea to the blender.

  3. Blend together on high for 20 seconds, once blended add back into the mug of your choice and enjoy!

Honey Chamomile Tea Latte

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup water

  • 1 tablespoon Chamomile tea

  • 1 cup coconut Milk

  • 1 tablespoon Honey

  • Ground Cinnamon

Directions:

  1. Bring water to a simmer in a small saucepan.  Remove from the heat and add in the Chamomile tea.  Allow to steep for 5 to 7 minutes.  Once steeped, strain out the Chamomile.

  2. In another small saucepan, add in the milk and heat.  Whisk constantly until warm and frothy, for about 5 minutes.

  3. Once combined, add in the honey and stir until dissolved.

  4. In the Chamomile tea saucepan, add in the milk and gently stir to combine.

  5. Sprinkle the top with ground cinnamon and enjoy!

Hibiscus-Chamomile Tea Latte

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon dried Hibiscus Flowers

  • 1 tablespoon Chamomile Tea

  • 1 teaspoon Ashwagandha Powder

  • 2 cups boiling water

  • Maple Syrup or Honey to taste

  • ¼ cup steamed Oat Milk or Almond Milk

Directions:

  1. In a teapot, combine the Chamomile tea and Hibiscus Flowers.  Allow to steep for 5 minutes.  Whisk in the Ashwagandha Powder.

  2. Strain the tea into two mugs and stir in the Maple Syrup or Honey to taste. 

  3. Top with steamed Oat Milk or Almond Milk and crushed Hibiscus Flowers.
