Chado was acquired by Devan & Reena Shah. Reena ran the stores while Devan imported and exported teas from around the world to keep the store’s supply filled with new and different teas.
Devan & Reena Shah open a 2nd location down the street in the famous Los Angeles Farmer’s Market located next to CBS studios.
Chado closes the Farmer’s Market stall to make way for a bigger and better location.
Chado Tea Room expands to Old Town Pasadena on Raymond, right off of the main street, Colorado Blvd. Pasadena is known for the Rose Bowl which houses the annual USC vs. UCLA Football Game.
Chado Tea Room adds another location in the heart of Little Tokyo, located in the Japanese American National Museum.
In June of this year Hollywood Chado opened its doors. The first Los Angeles Tea Festival was held in August, this took place outside of the Little Tokyo tea room.
In February of this year our Chado Hollywood location moved closer to the stars. Located right outside the historic doors of the Dolby theater, where the Oscars are held every year. In August the store that started it all, the 3rd Street location closed its doors. But the best was yet to come.
Chado opens their largest store to date in the Torrance/South Bay area. With an extensive collection of tea accessories alongside the immense tea collection, this location is truly a tea connoisseur's heaven.
